TrueNorth

TrueNorth is an experimental theatre piece, exploring internal landscapes where the journey is more important than arrival, where the final destination is always unknown. Fragments of light, sound, movement, video, and text intertwine pulling the audience into the stream of thoughts and emotions. The form and content mutually identify each other generating poetics and transcending intellectual perceptions and interpretations of the theatrical work.

Theatre space is transformed into a running train which becomes a container for the three stories happening in the mind of its travelers. The alienating effect of the „non-place‟ such as a train allows us to stop and step out of our lives for a moment, bringing a sort of temporary relief. Being in the time gap between the two destinations our mind goes to those unanswered existential questions; who we are, where are we going, does it all make sense, what do we want, are we happy.
